General Rules
Document Authenticity: Any inconsistency in certificates or mark sheets will result in immediate cancellation of studentship.
Mandatory Internship: A one-year internship is required after completing the training course.
Compliance with Regulations: Students must pledge to follow the rules of the Nursing Institute and the Bangladesh Nursing and Midwifery Council.
Exclusive Enrollment: Students cannot be enrolled in other educational institutions during their training.
Attendance:
Absence from the hostel or class for more than 7 days without permission is prohibited.
Ward duty in the hospital must not be skipped without permission.
Behavior: Rude or detrimental behavior towards others may result in termination.
Academic Progress: Students failing the final exam in the first year must repeat the year and retake the exam with the next batch.
Non-refundable Payments: All fees (course, session, tuition, etc.) are non-refundable.
Residential and Transport: The institution does not guarantee accommodation or transport. Hostel seats are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
Parental Visits: Students can meet parents and siblings during designated times with permission.
Events and Celebrations: National, international days, and cultural programs can be observed with the authority's approval.
Disciplinary Action: Anti-social activities or disciplinary violations may lead to punishment or expulsion.
Dress Code and Professional Attire
• Adhering to a dress code is a standard practice in many professions, especially in nursing, where the attire of nurses can significantly impact patient care and satisfaction.
Given that insurance reimbursements increasingly depend on quality-of-care metrics, maintaining a professional dress code is more critical than ever.
• Students must strictly follow the dress code specified by the institute authority. It is mandatory to wear the prescribed uniform during theoretical classes, practical sessions,
and hospital duties, as per the requirements for each academic year.
Student Identity Card Policy
Mandatory Requirement:All students are required to carry their identity card issued by the institution at all times.
Class Entry: Students will not be permitted to enter the classroom or participate in any academic activities without presenting their identity card.
Library Rules and Regulations
Library Access: Students must use their library card, signed by the principal, to enter the library.
Borrowing Materials: No books or other library materials may be taken out of the library without following the proper borrowing protocols.
Return of Borrowed Books: All borrowed books must be returned by the due date.
Conduct and Discipline: Strict silence, decorum, and discipline must be maintained within the library. The use of mobile phones is strictly prohibited.
Prohibited Activities: Eating, sleeping, and loud talking are strictly forbidden inside the library.
Protection of Library Materials: Readers should not mark, underline, write, tear pages, or damage any library documents in any way.
Newspapers, Magazines, and Journals: These must be read only at designated tables within the library and should not be taken to other reading areas.
Unauthorized Removal of Materials: No library materials may be taken out of the library without proper authorization. Unauthorized removal of materials will be considered theft and will be dealt with accordingly.
Consequences for Violations: Any student who violates these rules may lose their library membership and may be barred from using library facilities.
Hostel Rules and Regulations
Permission to Leave: Students are not allowed to leave the hostel without prior permission from the hostel authority. For safety reasons, students are not permitted to leave the hostel after 6:00 pm.
Roaming on Campus: Roaming around the campus after the allotted time is strictly prohibited.
Reporting Illness: In case of any serious illness, the hostel authority or the principal must be informed immediately through the housekeeper.
Visitor Policy: No visitors, including family members (father, brother, sister, friends), are allowed to enter or stay at the hostel at night. In special circumstances, a student’s mother may enter the hostel with permission from the housekeeper, but overnight stays are not permitted.
Meals: Meals (breakfast, lunch, and dinner) must be taken on schedule in the dining hall.
Cooking Prohibited: Cooking is strictly prohibited in the rooms or anywhere in the hostel. Electric stoves and room heaters are not allowed.
Liability for Loss: The hostel authorities are not responsible for the loss of money, jewelry, or personal belongings. Students are advised not to keep valuable items in their rooms.
Prohibited Items: Personal TVs, fridges, and pets are strictly prohibited in the hostel.
Room and Bathroom Hygiene: Students are responsible for keeping their rooms, toilets, and bathrooms neat and clean. Sanitary napkins, cotton, etc., must be disposed of properly in the dustbin.
Waste Disposal: Discarding paper, waste, shampoo bottles, chocolate wrappers, or chip packets through the window is a punishable offense. Waste should always be disposed of in the dustbin.
Noise and Disturbance: Activities such as watching TV, talking, or singing loudly that disturb others are strongly discouraged.
Furniture and Fixtures: Students are not allowed to move or interchange furniture/fixtures in their rooms or with other rooms without permission from the hostel authority or housekeeper.
Overnight Stay Outside: Spending the night outside the hostel is strictly prohibited. Any student found guilty will have their seat canceled without notice.
Rule Changes: The hostel rules may be altered, or new rules may be added as necessary, based on the institution’s requirements.
